Are in-person classes mandatory?

No. In-person classes are not mandatory. Students can complete their education entirely through homeschooling; however, attending in-person classes allows for regular work with teachers and interaction with peers.

Is it necessary to enroll a child in Kingsley School for homeschooling?

It is not necessary. However, the pricing of in-person classes differs for students who are not enrolled in the Kingsley School homeschooling program.

Is Kingsley School a typical primary school?

No. Kingsley School is a hybrid school that organizes in-person classes in various cities. This model combines the flexibility of homeschooling with classes led by teachers.

What does hybrid education look like?

The student is enrolled in homeschooling and attends in-person classes at Kingsley School:

  • 3 times a week for grades 1–5
  • 4 times a week for grades 6–8

The remaining part of the curriculum is completed through homeschooling.

What does the international program mean?

The international program is conducted entirely in English and is based on an international curriculum.

Can a student from Poland apply to the international program?

Yes. The international program is available to all students. Learning in English helps develop language proficiency and gives students more opportunities when choosing their future educational path.

What does trilingualism involve?

The trilingual program involves intensive language learning and daily use of languages in communication. Students learn in an environment where three languages function naturally:
  • Polish
  • English
  • French / Spanish

Languages are treated as tools for exploring the world and acquiring knowledge.

Do students in the international program take the final school exam?

Yes. Students in the international program also take the Polish final exam.

Are students well prepared for the Polish final school exam?

Yes. From the very beginning, students take classes in exam subjects. Additionally, in final year, they participate in dedicated preparation classes for the exam.

What do exams look like in Kingsley School homeschooling?

Exam dates in homeschooling are set at the beginning of the school year. We offer our students the possibility to take exams during a continuous session throughout the school year, from October to June.

We conduct both oral and written exams at one of our campuses in Poznań, Wrocław, Kraków, and Warsaw.

Does the student have to prepare independently for exams in subjects that are not taught in person?

Yes. Students prepare independently for exams in these subjects with the support of an online learning platform and educational materials.

Where do the exams take place?

Exams take place at the campuses where students attend in-person classes: Poznań, Wrocław, Kraków, Warszawa.

How many students are in each group?

Groups usually consist of 15 to 18 students.

Do students receive grades?

We do not use a traditional grading system. Students’ knowledge and progress are assessed through tests and assignments, and the results are presented as percentages on a scale from 0 to 100%.

Are there meetings with parents?

Yes. We organize individual meetings with parents at least once per semester, during which we discuss the student’s progress.

Can parents contact teachers?

Yes. The school uses an educational app that allows parents to:

  • communicate with teachers
  • track the student’s progress
  • check results and educational materials

What if the family travels frequently?

There are no consequences for absences. The student only needs to make up the material and inform the school about the planned absence.

Is it possible not to pay tuition during a longer trip?

No. Tuition is paid for the entire period of education, regardless of the student’s attendance. Contracts for in-person education are signed for the full school year, which ensures organizational stability for the school and its teaching staff.

Can the contract be terminated?

 

 

Does the school have an educational app?

Yes. Students use an educational app available 24/7, which covers the full Polish core curriculum.

Are there any additional costs?

Parents should provide the student with:
  • indoor shoes
  • Kingsley School T-shirts and sweatshirts
  • books
  • a pencil case
  • a backpack

What are the class hours?

Classes take place between 8:15 a.m. and 3:15 p.m. or 9:00 a.m. and 4:15 p.m.

Does the school offer after-school care?

The school does not offer after-school care. After 3:00 p.m., additional activities take place, which students can participate in.

On which days do classes take place?

Class days are fixed throughout the school year:

  • 3 days a week – years 3 – 7
  • 4 days a week – years 8 – 10
  • 4 days a week – High School

Admissions

Is it possible to join the school during the school year?

Yes, if there are available spots in the group.

Does a child need to know English before starting school?

In the first grade of primary school, knowledge of English is not required. The curriculum is introduced gradually so that children can naturally develop their language skills.

In higher grades, knowledge of English is necessary if the student chooses a program conducted in English.

Are there native speakers working at the school?

The school employs an international teaching staff with the experience and qualifications to teach, as well as a caring, empathetic, and patient approach to students.

Do students have homework?

Yes. Students read set books and may receive small assignments to reinforce their knowledge, completed on the educational platform. Sometimes they also prepare projects that help deepen and practically apply what they have learned.

Do children have time for movement and physical activity?

Yes, we provide regular, longer breaks that allow for movement, team games, shared play, relaxation, and rest.

Do students use computers or tablets?

Yes, we use modern technology during classes, but not all the time. In our school, the use of personal electronic devices is not allowed.

Can Kingsley School graduates easily transition to high school?

Yes. From the very beginning, we provide in-person classes in the subjects required for the eighth-grade exam, as well as additional preparation classes to ensure students are well prepared.

Can a student change campuses during the school year?

Yes, depending on the availability of places in the group the student would like to join.

Is there an adaptation period for new students?

Yes, we invite parents and children to meet with teachers before the start of the school year.

Does the school provide learning materials?

We provide access to an educational platform based on the Polish curriculum.

Does the school organize educational trips?

Yes, as part of the program, on educational days classes sometimes take place outside of the campus in the form of trips.

Do students carry out educational projects?

Yes, we carry out many group projects. We emphasize collaboration and teach students how to work together.

How often do parents receive updates on their child’s progress?

Regularly and on an ongoing basis. Additionally, we organize individual meetings with the teaching staff once per semester.
