The most important form of assessment at Kingsley School is feedback—specific, supportive, and designed to build students’ self-awareness.

It strengthens intrinsic motivation, helps students understand their progress, and empowers them to take ownership of their learning and plan their future development with confidence.

An additional element of our assessment system is the ongoing certification of specific skills and competencies throughout the school year.

As a result, students:

• Build their own individualized learning pathway.

• Have continuous access to information about their progress and development.

• Learn to take responsibility for their learning process.

• Create a personalized learning portfolio that reflects their achievements and growth.

• Develop self-reflection skills and gain a deeper understanding of how they learn most effectively.

We present student progress on a 0–100% scale, allowing students to see meaningful differences, recognize nuances, and track their development at every stage of their learning journey.

Rather than relying solely on a traditional grading scale, which often fails to reflect a student’s true level of knowledge, skills, and engagement, we provide a more accurate and transparent picture of progress.

We do not compare students with one another—we support each individual on their own path to growth and achievement.
